California County Superintendents
The California County Superintendents provide the organizational mechanism for the 58 County Superintendents of Schools to design and implement statewide programs to identify and promote quality cost-effective educational practices and services and provide support to school districts in the areas of student services, curriculum, and instructional services, fiscal accountability and business services, personnel services, and technology and telecommunications.
County Operated Student Programs (COSP)
The County Operated Student Programs Committee is one of the five service committees within the California County Superintendents. The COSP Committee facilitates communication and common understanding across all student services provided by county offices of education to school districts and communities including special education, Regional Occupational Programs/Centers, alternative education programs, migrant education, outdoor science education, and HeadStart/preschool. The committee promotes the development of quality programs and services through assessment, research and dissemination of best practices.
Juvenile Court, Community and Alternative Schools Administrators of California (JCCASAC)
A subcommittee of COSP, the purpose of the Juvenile Court, Community and Alternative Schools Administrators of California (JCCASAC) is to support student success, create a collegial network of County Office Administrators, research and share best practices for at-promise students, encourage legislation that advocates for the learning needs of alternative education students, and to provide input and guidance to superintendents relative to the diverse needs of our student population.
